From Responsibility to Creativity

As a member of the races of people that have been lynched, raped, called slaves, and considered property by those who consider themselves elite, I have witnessed an interesting psychological, i.e. spiritual phenomenon take place.

This phenomenon is the shift in focus away from self.

It has directed us toward the effects and not the cause.

It has attempted to enslave our minds.

In the process of accepting this phenomenon, we have used our power to react and respond.

We see many examples of how we are responding today.

The term responsibility is being used in our society today to have us feel guilty for the way things are and to have us shoulder the burden of it's clean up.

Have we really thought about what the term responsibility means or have we just accepted what we've heard and what we've read?

Has Webster defined our entire life or better yet, the media?

Can we pause and take a closer look at our lives?

Responsibility is the ability to respond.

Everyone naturally has the ability to respond and therefore, responsibility is not in question. What occurs when we ask ourselves if we are responsible?

A more important question may be; what are we responding to? Who created the situation and circumstances?

Have you taken responsibility for a situation you did not create? Would you rather be the creator of the situations and circumstances in your life?

When we are stuck on the question of responsibility, we lose sight of our true ability, the ability to create.

I suggest to you that responsibility is the natural outcome of conscious creativity.

If we shift our focus from responsibility to creativity, we find ourselves living naturally and with peace.

Let us create our lives.

We can do this by simply asking ourselves, what do we want.

Allow the answer to flow naturally from within and do not be afraid to follow your heart.
